2024 Tennessee Tree Day - Native Tree Seedling Giveaway

The City of Lakesite is participating in Tennessee Tree Day this year!

Tennessee Tree Day on March 16 was designated to emphasize the importance of trees all over the state. To do our part to protect the natural beauty of Lakesite and maintain our tree canopy, we will give away 200 native tree seedlings to Lakesite residents on Friday, March 15.

Swing by the Lakesite Park Pavilion on Friday, March 15 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm to get free seedlings (while supplies last)!

All seedlings are native species - we will have Bald Cypresses, Shortleaf Pines, Eastern Redbuds, Tulip Poplars and White Oaks. Seedlings are the perfect size to plant with children and teach them about the importance of trees.

Added bonus: we will have wildflower seed packets to give away as well to help out our pollinator friends!
